Privacy policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website or buy THINK & BUILD DAILY, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect what we need to sell you the book and send you emails you asked for. What you write inside the book never reaches us.

Who we are

SMILENCE LTD (company number 16592746), 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom, is responsible for your personal information. Contact us at thinkandbuilddaily@gmail.com.

What we collect

When you buy

Your name, email address, billing address and order details. These are collected through our Shopify checkout. Payments are processed by Shopify Payments; we never see or store your full card number.

When you join our email list

Your email address, and whether you open or click our emails.

What you write in the book

In the free preview, your answers, ticks and notes are stored only in your own browser, on your device. Once you buy the book, they are also saved to your dashboard on our servers, so they are there on every device where you open your link. We use them only to show them back to you: we don’t read them, share them, sell them or use them for marketing. Ask us and we will delete them.

Cookies

Our store runs on Shopify, which uses its own cookies to run the cart and checkout and to count visits to the store (how many people visit, from which website or app, on what kind of device). Our own cookies: one keeps your book unlocked in your browser after you buy (tabd_access), and one lets our own team preview the site (tabd_preview). We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels at this time. If that changes, we will update this policy first and give you a way to opt out.

Technical information

Like every website, our hosts receive your IP address and basic browser information when you visit. We use your approximate country to offer the book only where we sell it, and we look at visit statistics to understand how people find the book.

How we use it

  • To sell you the book, deliver it to you and give you access. Your PDF copies carry your email address and order number, to discourage sharing.
  • To send the Daily Key emails that come with the Complete Edition.
  • To send you news and offers, if you joined our list. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • To answer your questions, process refunds and prevent fraud.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that run the store for us, and only for that purpose:

  • Shopify: the store website, checkout, payments and visit statistics
  • Vercel: hosting for your dashboard and the online edition
  • Google (Gmail) or Resend: the email that delivers your book
  • Klaviyo: our email list and the Daily Key emails
  • Upstash: the database that keeps your answers on your dashboard

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires (in the UK, six years). Your email list membership lasts until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

Your rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop sending you marketing emails. Depending on where you live (for example California, Virginia, Colorado or another state with a privacy law), you may have further rights under that state’s law. We will not treat you differently for using them. To make a request, contact us at thinkandbuilddaily@gmail.com. We may need to confirm your identity first.

Because we are a UK company, you also have rights under UK data protection law, and you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

International transfers

We are based in the United Kingdom and our service providers are mostly in the United States. When your information moves between countries, it is protected by the providers’ contractual safeguards.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date.
